Dear Parents and Students,

I hope you are all doing well and preparing for a spectacular summer.

Students, thank you for your diligence and hard work! I always appreciate the effort that goes into all assignments.

Parents, thank you for being phenomenal and supporting your children. The progress would not be possible without the foundation and reinforcement that you provided for your student/s. I have the utmost respect for parents who love and encourage this amazing generation.

Students who are enrolled in group classes are in the last week of their courses. Life happens and sometimes things fall through the cracks. So, if there are any missed assignments for which you require feedback, complete it, and submit it. All classes would remain open for submissions until June 30, 2023. Office Hours will not be hosted during summer, and I can be reached on the Learning Management System.

I am currently setting up classes for Fall. These will mostly remain the same throughout for IEW and WAC offerings.

I am introducing a new writing class for seniors: Writing Like a PRO! The prescribed resource is The Bedford Reader, well-constructed and researched college-level preparatory writing curriculum. The financial impact for remedial classes at tertiary level are related directly to achieving desired outcomes or not. This is a 32-week study that includes a variety of interesting reading contained in the prescribed text with grammar and roots review for the three thousand plus most frequently used Latin and Greek Roots.

I wish you all the best for much family time and fun!

Let me know if you have any questions regarding the past or the next academic year.

Thanks again!

All the best,

Alta Wehmeyer.
